I was given a gift card from The Wine Rack and asked to purchase Sawmill Creek wines. I bought a Merlot and a Autumn Blush. I called over a few of the girls and shared our thoughts on the two flavors.
Merlot
Merlot was paired with some finger foods. Salad spring rolls and chips and dip.
The general consensus was that it was dry, it had a strong aroma and nice to have with a meat dish like a steak dinner.
Autumn Blush
Autumn Blush was paired with a chocolate fruit flavored cake, (made by me) fruit salad and Smart Food popcorn.
The general consensus was that it was rich yet light in flavor, nice semi sweet taste with a nice colour. A great wine to go with desert.
